The current mine consists of an Open Pit Mining Operation delivering Ore to a Crushed Heap Leach with solution being processed through an ADR Plant and Refinery.
Job Description McEwen is looking for a Security Guard to join the team.
The primary duties are to be vigilant and report all suspicious activities to protect facilities from acts of trespassing.
This presence will act as a deterrent to any ill will towards our assets.
All persons entering the site will be required to satisfy the security guard that they have authority to be at that site.
All pertinent information regarding such personnel will be recorded for submission with a daily shift report required at the end of the shift.
These interactions with visitors will be conducted in a professional, firm, yet friendly manner.
Operational / Technical Execution Execute security duties across the site and in designated areas Compile daily security reports and send to the Security Supervisor for review Monitor radios and CCTV cameras as required Communicate / broadcast warnings, alarms and alerts across the site Provide surveillance to ensure that no unauthorized personnel gains entry to site Report all suspicious activity Work with operations crews to complete Pre-Op and Post Op inspections Complete required documentation for personnel arriving on site Organise badging and temporary entry administration for vendors, suppliers, and others Administration and Controls Participate in daily staff meetings and weekly safety meetings Complete day-to-day administration and reporting as required HSE compliance Maintain full responsibility for complying to all HSE and regulatory aspects relating to activities carried out in line with the requirements of this position Adhere to safety-related best practices and SOPs Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks and raise health and safety awareness Discretionary work (Non-Core) Identify opportunities for improvement across the department Carry out other non-core duties as requested by the Security Supervisor, commensurate with skills, knowledge, and appropriate level of work complexity Working Conditions Work 10-12-hour shift days/nights/weekends/holidays (may need to fill in for vacations) Climbing ladders/stairs, long periods of standing, walking over uneven ground Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
